Rocky Flats Cold War Museum: Board Member Application Form

The mission of the Rocky Flats Cold War Museum is to document the historical, environmental, and scientific aspects of Rocky Flats, and to educate the public about Rocky Flats, the Cold War, and their legacies. These goals will be accomplished through the preservation of key artifacts, the creation of necessary facilities, and the development of interpretive, educational, and outreach programs.

The Museum is a non-profit organization. Its Board of Directors includes representatives from local government, state and federal regulatory agencies, environmental and peace groups, academe, concerned citizens, current and former Rocky Flats employees and contractors.

Board members are currently: working to preserve key artifacts before site buildings are torn down and their contents are destroyed or removed; beginning an oral history and video project to document stories of plant workers, activists and others related to the site; beginning fundraising; and inviting stakeholder involvement.

The term of service for Board members is three years, unless resignation or a majority vote of the Board terminates a member's appointment prior to that time. Board Members are expected to attend regular monthly Board meetings, and also related committee meetings as needed. The approximate monthly time commitment is 6-8 hours.

The Nominating Committee is actively seeking applications for board membership. If you are interested in becoming a board member or would like to recommend someone else, please complete this form. Thank you for your interest in serving the Rocky Flats Cold War Museum!
